The Things That I Greatly Enjoyed During My Visit To Wisconsin Dells That You Will Too
Though Wisconsin Dells is a small town yet it gives the feel of a big city. Every year, I and my family go to the Dells for a weekend getaway. It always has this special holiday atmosphere filling this small town with loads of opportunities and makes every visit of mine seem like my first time.
There are lots of things to enjoy in Wisconsin Dells and here are my top favorites which you might have enjoyed too.
For the past hundred years, Wisconsin Dells remains a favorite family vacation destination. The beautiful and serene Wisconsin River shaped the town with its currents and curves. This amazing place offers a lot for everyone. No matter what time of the year it would be you can always find suitable attractions that would fit your liking. Though it is known as the “The Waterpark Capital of the World” yet it offers more than indoor and outdoor splash!
But of course, summer is the best time to visit and make the most of Wisconsin Dells for a getaway.
Noah’s Ark Waterpark is the largest America Outdoor water park not only in the Dells but in America. It’s the premier attraction in Wisconsin Dells with more than 80 family activities to enjoy. You can enjoy relaxing rivers to extreme giant slides. They also got 2 huge wave pools, 49 waterslides, and kiddie water play areas, mini golf, arcades, fast food points, restaurants, gift shops and more.
Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Parks is the best destination if you want to enjoy both indoor and outdoor waterpark rides, go-karts, roller coasters and other amusements. There are 37 waterslides, 2 floating rivers, water basketball, wave pool, whirl pools and 3 shallow water play areas to enjoy in Mt. Olympus.
Kids can enjoy go kart tracks, bumper boats, mini-golf, batting cages and arcades as well as other kiddie rides. The best part is you can enjoy a nice ice cream in open ice-cream café points after your hot rides.
Scenic Tours to enjoy Wisconsin Dells’ Scenery. The scenery of the Dells is best experienced by taking a scenic tour as it will give you an up close and personal experience of natural beauty of the place. Scenic tours are available in river tours and sunset cruise tours. This tour will take you along the peaceful Wisconsin River.
Original Wisconsin Ducks are an enjoyable ride through amphibious vehicles called DUCKs which was used during World War II. These vehicles are restored and can travel by land and water on trails. These ducks will take you to a plunge into the Wisconsin River and enjoy breathtaking views from towering sandstone cliffs to scenic wilderness trails. Just like everyone else, I love riding the DUCKs!
Jet Boat Adventures will take you to a thrilling, wet and wild ride on a jet boat. This ride got me screaming with pleasure, my heart racing while getting wet in the beautiful Wisconsin River which is a total blast on a hot summer day.
Lost Canyon Tour is just a short ride yet very amazing. This ride will show you the beautiful surroundings of the Dells riding a magnificent mile of cliff-walled canyon in comfy yet old-world horse-drawn carriages.
Tommy Bartlett Exploratory and Show is best for the whole family to enjoy because it is educational. You can see and experience 150 interactive exhibits from scientific wonders, virtual realty, magic, music, robotics, holograms, and puzzles.
Tommy Bartlett Show is available during summer, a 90-minute live show staged in the shores of Lake Delton. The show features a combination of extreme water-skiing, masterful boat maneuvers, comedy and breathtaking stunt artists on water, on stage plus high in the skies.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum takes you to see some odd and creepy stuff. It’s best for people who want to discover weird oddities, experience something extraordinary, strange, and unbelievable It’s worth checking out if you want something more than a splash in a waterpark.
Storybook Gardens is ideal for kids and kids at heart. In this garden you will enjoy close, personal encounter with a giraffe, zebra, kangaroo and many other animals and this is a great place where favorite children’s stories come to life.
Apart from those I mentioned above, there are still many interesting attractions to visit and enjoy in the Dells. At any season, be it summer, fall, winter or spring, the fun never ends in Wisconsin Dells.
